The John Armless Project started in 2001 with the independent lauching of the CD "The Temple of Lost Voices" . At that point the group was a duo :J.A. Moraes ( Keyboards, Bass and Guitars ) and Walter Scheufler ( Vocals, Harmonica and Percussion ). Completely recorded in J.A.’s home-studio the conceptual story of the Temple were all spoken words are stored helped J.A. to build their original Temple of Sound re-modelling their inner influences as diverse as Genesis, Lou Reed, ELP, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan and Robert Johnson.
In 2003 , with the help of virtuoso guest musicians Juao Carvalho (Guitars) ,Nonato Teixeira (Drums) and Jose Plascak (Rhythm Guitar) the group produced their second CD "The Space Messiah". The duel between the spiritual and the greedy nature of men is explored musically in a much more progressive way, in the true sense of the word. The group performed well-received accoustic shows with the material from this album with the Cello player Andre Taffarello.
Following this, J.A. and Walter developed a serie of new songs with the constant partner Jose Plascak. This material was supposed to be part of an acoustic album of the trio, that unfortunately never saw the light of the day, as Walter moved to Europe to develop personal projects.
But in 2008 J.A. Moraes and Walter Scheufler are back on the same tracks again. Counting again with Juao Carvalho on the Solo Guitar and the newcomer Rogerio Graciano on Bass , they are preparing their new independent work "Stone City". The first single "The Cottage" is being distributed now. Ask yours and enjoy the trip.
