Walter’s first prominent work was with the Hard Rock & Electric Blues Band "Amburana" . The group was one of the strongest performers in the underground scenario of the city of Cuiaba ( Center of Brazil ) until 1997. Besides playing drums, Walter also led the vocals and wrote the lyrics.
In 98, he moved to Sao Paulo where immediately joined the group "Hidrofobia" as a drummer and lyricist.
The power trio which mixed their own songs with covers of classic bands of the 70’s, perform a lot of gigs around the town and ended up launching their homonymous CD in the end of 1999.
In 2001, he met J.A. Moraes in a cover project of "The Doors". Soon they found much more extensive musical affinities in Rock, Jazz & Blues and they started composing original songs. It then turned to be initial nucleus of the band that would be baptized as The John Armless Project.
After 4 years in Europe where he developed independent projects, Walter is once again back to the group.
